Why do books go out of print? There are several reasons, most of them typical of self-publishers like Joelle Steele. Some simply become outdated and are no longer useful to readers. Some have been partially or wholly recombined into books that are larger, more comprehensive, and more up-to-date. With the oldest titles, some of the manuscripts have been lost to time, and in some cases no copies of the books themselves can be located to retype them and republish them.
